Karatenomichi World Federation (KWF) – England have very kindly invited us to take part in a National Competition.

This is to be held on Saturday 30th June.

In the past we have taken a team to this event.

This is a request for anyone interested in attending to speak to Stu Needham or Sensei John Barker.

Student of the Month – April 2012

Student of the Month for April 2012 has been updated.

This will be 10:45 – 12:15.

All squad members will be expected to attend. Anyone unable to attend must notify either Sensei John Barker or Stu Needham.

Mitts and Gumshields are compulsory.

All students MUST possess a gumshield and bring it with them!!

If anyone would like a gumshield please see Stu Needham who will place an order prior to the training. Prices will depend on the amount needed.

Any persons who are not in the squad but wish to attend and be considered, please notify one of the instructors on arrival.

Sunday 15th April 2012

On the above date there will be a kata and referee course at Hawarden High School. This course is open to all grades and all ages.

The course will be between 10:45 – 12:45.

All squad members will be expected to attend.

This is an opportunity to improve your kata and/or understand the rules for competition.

Please try your best to attend.

Dave completed his grading in front of Ian Smith (6th Dan) and John Barker (5th Dan). He performed well in all areas impressing the examiners. Dave went on to demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of kumite when he fought a number of different grades including KWF European Champion Stu Needham (4th Dan).

The CSKA would like to congratulate Dave on his performance and wish him all the best for the future (Pictures to follow).

On Tuesday 27th March 2012 the CSKA held a kyu grading and the following persons were successful.
